VENUE SPOTLIGHT: THE ST. REGIS // WASHINGTON, DC

St. Regis front entrance

The St. Regis hotel sits just blocks away from the White House and within walking distance of the monuments and the National Mall, in the heart of D.C.’s downtown district.

The Lobby in all its’ gilded glory!

In my opinion, the Astor Terrace is what makes this venue a favorite among couples for it’s garden vibes right in the middle of the city – perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours and smaller receptions.  It can also be tented.

The St. Regis is a magical location year-round, and since the terrace can be tented you don’t have to worry about a rain plan.  We love this clear tent we did for our clients autumnal ceremony –

Then, while guests were dining in the ballroom, we flipped it into a dancing/lounge space!

During the winter months, the St. Regis has a semi-permanent sailcloth style tent up which is included in the package.

Tenting the Terrace accommodates a plethora of more design options, and the space transforms perfectly from ceremony to cocktail hour.

Astor Ballroom wedding ceremony

The grand Astor Ballroom is neutral enough to be transformed to fit any vision – and we know just how valuable the beautiful floor to ceiling windows are that lead to the terrace.  This makes it such a unique space flooded with natural light and not like most other basement ballrooms you will find in the city.  How amazing are these these magical living walls that bring the garden vibe indoors?  All while the stunning chandeliers and detailed ceiling make it feel incredibly opulent and luxurious.

We love all of the different glamorous atmospheres that can be created here, like this classic reception (above) featured in Washingtonian Magazine.

Playing with lighting and different color palettes can give this beautiful ballroom and entirely different vibe…anything from modern glam to classic old-world elegance to a winter wonderland!
