VENUE SPOTLIGHT: THE PLAZA HOTEL // NEW YORK, NY

You’ve probably seen so many fictional weddings at this hotel that it feels as if you’ve been a guest at every single one! Having your wedding at the famed Plaza Hotel is something most girls dream about, especially if you grew up in New York City. And considering the hotel is considered one of the most iconic 5-star hotels in the world–let alone the U.S.– it shouldn’t come as any surprise that it’s also one of the most expensive in the city; making the art of hosting a wedding or event here a status symbol in itself.

The Grand Ballroom

The Plaza’s extraordinary Grand Ballroom has played host to countless celebrities, movie premiere parties and elite social events over the years.  It’s no wonder – the neutral palette and exquisite details in the room, plus the prestige of an event at The Plaza, makes this an irresistible location for an unforgettable event…

The Terrace Room

The famed Terrace Room at The Plaza boasts some of the most incredible architecture in the hotel, complete with original crystal chandeliers made by Charles Winston, brother of jeweler Harry Winston.  This room is both striking and elegant and offers a world of design possibilities for your wedding, including stunning ceremonies.

The Oak Room & Bar

“Often referred to as a core piece of the DNA that makes New York City, The Oak Room at The Plaza provides an elegantly paneled, German Renaissance Revival-style space that takes you back in time.”  The Oak Room is a lovely choice for a more masculine, old-world feel.  We love it for cozy rehearsal dinners, particularly in the fall or winter.

The Edwardian Room

“The Edwardian Room at The Plaza encompasses New York’s staple sights through large windows overlooking Central Park, Grand Army Plaza, the Pulitzer Fountain and 5th avenue.”  The Spanish Renaissance style and stunning trussed ceiling, with oak-paneled wainscotting, plus the floor-t0-ceiling windows make this space lovely for anything from a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, intimate wedding or an after-party.
