VENUE SPOTLIGHT: THE INN AT PERRY CABIN // ST. MICHAELS, MARYLAND
Look familiar? You might recognize this picturesque Colonial mansion from the famous Wedding Crashers reception scene (or from a 2011 Strawberry Milk engagement session). The Inn at Perry Cabin sits on a 25-acre lot on the Miles River in the quaint Eastern Shore town of St. Michaels, Maryland. Built in 1816 by Navy veteran Samuel Hambleton, the Inn was a private home, a working farm and a riding academy before finally settling into the luxury hotel property it is today. The hotel is owned and operated by Orient Express.
The Inn at Perry Cabin is really the only luxury hotel in the super charming and picturesque Victorian waterfront town of St. Michaels, with all its quaint shops and unique boutiques and antique stores . The inn is elegant yet relaxed all at once. It offers a few options for ceremonies; two gazebos, five private gardens, a waterfront terrace and an expansive lawn surrounded by the Miles River on both sides. Not to mention four separate indoor spaces, which can accommodate seated receptions of up to 100 people.

The Miles Room, below, overlooks the waterfront terrace and can seat 20 guests; perfect for a rehearsal dinner, bridal tea or intimate reception.
Cherry wood paneled walls open to an enclosed courtyard in The Admiral Room and can comfortably fit 40 guests for a seated dinner, or 75 for a standing reception.
The Commodore Ballroom is ideal for a traditional reception. With high English ceilings, a hearth and brick fireplace, the room can fit a band, dance floor and 96 seated guests.
A spa, fitness center, pool, and renowned restaurant and bar can also all be found on the property grounds, making The Inn at Perry Cabin the ideal one-stop-shop for a weekend of wedding activities.

Cost: Prices vary depending on the choice of facility, starting at a basic rental fee of $1,000 with required room reservations for guests. There are four main wedding packages offered.
- Intimate Package: Maximum 100 guests. The Inn requires you to secure Guest Rooms for a minimum of 10% of your contracted number of guests, for a 2 night reservation.
- The Caledonia Exclusive: Maximum of 150 guests. Waterfront tented option securing all 13 guest rooms in Caledonia Building.
- Linden Green (Tented Non-Waterside Venue): Maximum of 250 guests. Requires securing 1 guest room for 10 guest (10%), with a 2 night reservation minimum.
- Exclusive Buyout: Maximum of 300 guests. Closed to the public, waterfront tented and securing of all 78 guest rooms. $68,000 Food and Beverage minimum required
