This is what your wedding looks like when your bride is a professional ballerina and professed francophile.  We brought the spirit of Paris to D.C. for Elizabeth & Cody’s wedding at The Meridian House.  Greeting guests upon arrival, giant balloons poured out of the windows of the historic estate, like champagne bubbles kissing the sky.  The uber romantic ceremony in the linden trees (which formed an amazing, natural aisle) was accented by hanging peonies and antique crystal chandeliers.  Vintage french jazz musicians in all-white delighted at cocktail hour while specialty sips were passed like the French 75 and Lavender Gin & Tonic.  Custom tulle tablecloths at dinner were a nod to the bride’s profession, as well as crossed ribbon details in all of the paper goods and custom bar designs.  Guests dined on an elaborate, European style multi-course dinner complete with fabulous champagne and wine that the bride’s father sourced specially on a trip to France.  In addition to an amazing Maggie Austin ruffled wedding cake, outside guests were able to custom order dessert crepes as well as sit back and enjoy the cigar bar and after-dinner drink cart.  During the dancing, the bride surprised the groom by slipping into her pointe shows and performing an excerpt from “Sleeping Beauty” – the first show he saw her in, and also where he realized he was in love.  *AS SEEN IN MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS MAGAZINE, SPRING 2016*
