“Swan Lake” Nursery

“Where swans wear tutu’s and pastel Parisian dollhouses mingle…”

I can finally share Ava’s official nursery photos since it was published on Style Me Pretty.  Getting to decorate a little lady’s room – with plenty of pink, of course – was one of my personal highlights last year. Way. Too.  Much.  Fun.   We live in a cute (code for small 😉 1930’s cape cod near Old Town, and I had already given my son the largest room upstairs as his nursery when we moved in two years ago.  I had to make the most of what used to be my home office – which was no longer in use – since I acquired our studio last year. It all started with finding the perfect shade of “blush” – I wanted it to be subtle and soft.  This particular shade gave a warm glow to the room with a hint of pink that wasn’t overpowering.

There’s lots of eye candy in this small space with lovely, whimsical details – I could sit in here all day long 🙂 .I hope when she gets a little older she appreciates it as much as I enjoyed creating it – can’t wait to see her little imagination soar while playing in here!

Thank you to Style Me Pretty for featuring Miss Ava’s room…if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the article here.
