FASHION FRIDAY: PASTELS & PRINTS

As February comes to an end, we can’t help but look forward to the trends the upcoming spring and summer seasons have in store. From London to Milan and New York to Paris, Fashion Weekers across the board agree that there are two trends standing out in a big way: pastels and prints.

A common misconception about pastels is that they are hard to wear. Wrong! Fair skinned ladies can rock a pretty pastel just as fabulously as those with darker tones. A pretty green (as shown above) or lavender can complement fair skin beautifully, while the skin-tone pastels (pink & peach) are best left for darker complexions.

Burberry never fails to deliver stunning ready-to-wear collections and the 2014 Spring Prorsum line (above) is no different. See the full line, including embellished trenches and floral lace separates, here.

Mary Katrantzou

You might have seen our sneak peek tweet on Wednesday highlighting these florals from Mary Katrantzou. This is a trend you will definitely be seeing in abundance this year. Mix and match with solids or go head-to-toe to stand out!
