VENUE SPOTLIGHT: LE MEURICE HOTEL // PARIS, FRANCE

lemeurice1

Built in 1835, Le Meurice Hotel is a gem in the heart of our favorite city.  It sits a stone’s throw from The Louvre and overlooks the majestic Tuilerie Gardens.  Combining exceptional 18th century opulence with contemporary chic decor by Philippe Starck, the hotel is perfect for those looking for a piece of traditional old-world Paris with a whimsical twist.

Le Meurice

I always make sure to stop by at least once every time I’m in Paris…usually for a nightcap  café crème and a strawberry tart.  I settle into a comfy setee and soak in the stunning decor and the beautiful people.erl3

The revamped palace hotel is part of the esteemed Dorchester Collection.  The hotel’s General Manager told Philippe Starck to “Enliven the place, turn it into a jewel where everyone loves to stay, eat, drink or go on a gastronomic adventure.”  And that he did.  One step into the ornate lobby is all it takes to realize this hotel is unlike any other, seamlessly blending old and new world glamour.

Restaurant Le Dali is great for breakfast, an afternoon aperitif or dessert.  The magnificent ceiling mural painted was painted by Ara Starck.  This restaurant is open to the lobby and means good people watching.

Highly-acclaimed multiple Michelin-star chef Alain Ducasse oversees all hotel dining. Restaurant le Meurice, one of the world’s most beautiful dining rooms, offers outstanding French fine-dining overlooking the Tuileries Garden.  Unfortunately, you cannot book the restaurant for private events.
