We’re Planning + Designing The Knot Gala 2016!

So, we’ve been keeping a little something (okay, a big something) under wraps here lately and are so excited to finally share the news!  We’re thrilled to announce that we are the exclusive planner and designer of The Knot Magazine’s Annual Gala at the New York Public Library this year!  For those of you who may not know, this is THE event of the season for  industry folks – we’re talking around 1,200 of the top tier, creme de la creme of the wedding industry at one of the most fabulous, iconic venues in the country.  It occurs every year, at the culmination of NY Bridal Fashion Week in the fall.  However, this isn’t just any year.  This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Knot Magazine so it’s guaranteed to be extra-special! This star-studded event is known as the “Oscars” of the wedding world.  If you’re attending, you’ll walk the red carpet and if you’re an A-Lister, get interviewed by The Knot’s correspondents (all streamed live on theknot.com)  Event designers and planners to the stars (Mindy Weiss, Marcy Blum, Colin Cowie, Preston Bailey, David Beahm, etc.) as well as just plain old celebrities (Mr. and Mrs. Nick Jonas the last 2 years, as well as Bachelorettes Desiree Hartstock and Andi Dorfman, Bachelor Sean Lowe, Rendy Fenoli of Say Yes to the Dress, Kleinfeld’s Fashion Director) and the amazing designers behind all of those couture gowns – Amsale, Haley Paige, Badgley Mischka, just to name a few have all made appearances. When you’re asked to design a party for the best-of-the-best in the event industry, I mean the people that KNOW parties inside and out…can we say pressure? 🙂

We already have an AMAZING theme in the works and are in the midst of putting together a rockstar vendor team to pull it all off with some surprises up our sleeves.  Every planner/designer in the past has knocked it out of the park (we’re in awe of all of you!) and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to be involved this year.  It was just a few short years ago I was over the moon just to get a coveted invitation to such a glamorous event (2013, to be exact) – but now being asked to spearhead plan and design the whole thing? Among the ranks of the awesomely talented planners/designers who have gone before me? Definitely a bucket list item!  It just goes to show you that if in a few short years you  really can go from just wishing you were invited to the party, to creating the party…chase those dreams and don’t give up!

Follow along with the official event hashtag #theknotgala.  We’ll be revealing sneak peeks of who’s involved as we get closer as well as some behind the scenes.
