Morgan & Jon at The Greenbrier

Morgan & Jon Huntsman III’s destination wedding at the iconic (hello, Dorothy Draper!) Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV was featured in the latest issue of Washingtonian Bride & Groom!

Morgan wanted a chic, romantic garden vibe at the hotel which is nicknamed “the social resort of the south” since the late 1800’s. Here are some more images from their special day – there’s no denying that HUGE crystal chandelier (which to my dismay didn’t fit in my suitcase 😉 took centerstage in that lovely, ornate coral ballroom. We wanted that and the bold hue of the walls to not compete with the design and decor of the room. With the room as the starting point for our inspiration, we used a palette of coral, blush, white and dusty blue for the scheme. Morgan was in love with the garden ceremony space outside, but unfortunately a little tropical storm made our Plan B come into action. It still turned out beautiful and was a wonderful weekend full of events (Southern BBQ rehearsal dinner at the lodge and a farewell brunch with croquet!)
