Enchanted Elegance

Following a traditional mass at St. Albans, we turned the soaring 2-story Corcoran Gallery into a romantic, overgrown garden for this wedding in the nation’s capital – most of the guests in traveled from the Dominican, Mexico and Columbia. We wanted it to feel like hosting an elegant and intimate dinner party for 200+ guests in an overgrown mansion that was recently discovered. Lots of suspended vines and organic greenery combined with crystal and antique silver achieved the look. While there was a full blown orchestra for the ceremony, a strolling oyster shucker and mariachi band were just a few of the surprises during cocktail hour. During dinner, a traditional jazz band played so the bride and her father could dance the fox trot and after dinner, the party ensued with a hip DJ spinning lots of favorites en espanol which kept the crowd dancing all night. We surprised the bride with calligraphing her grandmother’s favorite saying on the DJ booth. *Featured in The Knot Magazine, Summer 2015*
