Sometimes the couple’s “how we met” story (in this instance, an Arabian Nights literature class at Cornell University) inspires the entire affair.  Additionally, the groom was Indian, but was born in Ireland and grew up in Dubai.  This was a worldly celebration with a global guest list for a fashion designer-turned-bride, celebrating the couple’s different cultures and love of travel at the historic Washington National Cathedral followed by reception at The Mellon Auditorium in D.C.  The bride, whose designs are strongly influenced by the Middle East and are fabricated between India + New York (ameliabrown.com), made her own wedding dress, all the bridesmaids dresses and her own epic afterparty jumpsuit.  She found the perfect pair of vintage Louboutins to compliment it all.  The couple went on to have two more wedding celebrations, in Dubai and India.
